Marriage Announcement of 1st marriage to Ruth (Ferguson).

Published in the Saginaw (MI) News, Wednesday, 7 Jul 1915, pg. 7. (second half of news article was difficult to read).

"Ferguson - Holcomb.

A charmingly appointed wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Amos J. Ferguson, 1119 Madison street, when their daughter, Ruth became the bride of William Holcomb, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Holcomb. The ceremony was performed at 6:30 o'clock by Rev. H. R. Stark, D. D., in the presence of about 40 friends and relatives. As the lohengrin wedding march was played by Miss Marie Richter the bridal party took their places beneath a hower [sic] of smilax and daisies, where the ceremony was performed. The bride was given in marriage by her father. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Gertrude Ferguson, as maid of honor, and Harry Holcomb, brother of the groom, acted as best man.
The bride wore a beautiful gown of . . . . . They will be at home to their friends after August 1 at 1?16 Cleveland street.
The bride is a graduate of the Arthur Hill high school and has taught kindergarten in the Stone school for the past five years. The groom is also a graduate of the Arthur Hill and is engaged in business in this city. . . . . . ."
