Dorothy V. Shelton, 91, of 800 N. Market St., Knoxville, IL died Thursday September 15, 2005 in Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville IL.

She was born August 17, 1914 in Warrick City, IN the daughter of Commodore and Verdie Mae Williams Greer. She married Rev. Oren Baker in Chicago on September 1, 1935. He died May 5, 1975. She later married Orville D. Shelton in Marseilles, IL on May 22, 1982. He survives. Also surviving are 2 sons, Gene Baker of Phoenixa AZ and Paul (wife Shirley) Knepper of Evansville, IN, two daughters, Sharon (husband Rev. Duane) Kaufman of Seneca, IL and Rosemarie (husband Jack) Lee of Galesburg, five step children including Gary Shelton of Columbia Heights, East Galesburg who was a special caregiver. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and three sisters. She was a homemaker. She lived in Tucson, AZ before moving to Galesburg 6 years ago. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
