Margaret J Szafranski, age 89 of Ogdensburg, passed away early Saturday morning, January 10, 2015 at the Riverledge Healthcare Facility with her son Steve, his wife Nancy and granddaughter Crystal by her side. Margaret has donated her body to the anatomical gift program through SUNY Upstate Medical University.
Surviving are three sons, Steven(Nancy) Szafranski of Norfolk, Michael Szafranski and his companion Mary Kropldowski of WI, Paul Szafranski of Rochester; two daughters, Patricia (Ted) Rahn of Canton & Maria(Bill)Brien of Ogdensburg; one brother, Stanley Kaine of Canton; two sisters, Bernice Brierly and Cathy Bellgrade of FL.; thirteen grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren.
Her husband Joseph Szafranski in 1982; an infant daughter, Joan Szafranski at birth; two brothers, John & Alex Kaine and two sisters. Dora Perrault and Anna Deserre predeceased her.
Margaret was born on June 23, 1925 in Ogdensburg NY, a daughter of the late John & Alice (Kaine) Webster. She attended Ogdensburg schools, and later married Joseph Szafranski on August 27, 1944.
