Illness Ends For Mrs. Hope Doty, 80

Mrs. George Crampton received a message Wednesday morning telling of the death of her aunt, Mrs. Hope Doty, at Grand Rapids, Tuesday morning, following a long illness. She was about 80 years of age.

Hope Genson came to Mason county when a very small child, her parents settling on a farm just north of the city and which later became the LaPoint farm. She was married in early womanhood and two daughters were born to them.

Mrs. Doty is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Charles Millard, who lived near Grand Rapids, also two granddaughters, one of whom she raised in her own home. There is also a brother, Frank Genson of Florida and Mrs. Crampton, Mrs. Elsie Davis of Freeson and Mrs. Walte are nieces and Freeman Genson of this city and Irving Nash of Custer are nephews.

Funeral services are being held today at the home in Grand Rapids.
