James Duffie Walker, Jr., age 92 of Bagley, passed away Tuesday December 30, 2014 at his residence. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp; he attended Bagley Church of God; he was a lifelong farmer in the Bagley community; a member of the Jefferson County Truck Growers Assn.; he was a graduate of Corner High School, class of 1943.
Funeral services will be Friday at 12:00 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. Doug Tate will officiate. Burial will follow in New Horizon Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Friday from 11 am until service time.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Bessie Walker and Pauline Walker; father, James Duffie Walker, Sr.; mother, Myra Trammell Jones; and brothers, Charles Leonard, Gaines Jones and George Jones.
Survivors include his son, Donnie (Rose); daughter, Donna (Mike); grandchildren, Tim, Brad (Erin), Jason (Heather) and Leanna (Zach); great grandchildren, Kinley, Avery and Halee; a brother, Gene; several other relatives and many friends.
