Grace Marie Geouge Bruce, 88, of Hurt died Monday, January 5, 2015 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Rev. Robert Aubrey Bruce for over sixty-three years. She was born June 15, 1926 in Celo, North Carolina, a daughter of the late James M. Geouge and Martha Blalock Geouge. She was a member of Hurt Pentecostal Holiness Church, Valedictorian of her class at Micaville High School, a former employee of Lynchburg General Hospital School of Nursing and The Lane Company. Grace was a homemaker, who loved and cared for her family, but her greatest joy came in ministering her love and affection to others in need.She is survived by a son, Robert Rexford Bruce of Hurt; two daughters, Montel Horne and Teresa Bruce both of Hurt; three grandchildren, Kenneth Wayne Horne (Catherine), Joshua Dustin DeLappe (Casey) and Amber Marie Moffett (Cale); ten great grandchildren, Noelle, Zoey, Trinity and Ember Horne, Conner and Bradeyn DeLappe, Kylie Bozeman, and Colton, Liam and Chloe Moffett; and one sister, Georgia Hall. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Susan Chrisawn, Mae McCurry, Juanita Robinson and Cordia Harris; and five brothers, Ben, Jack, Tom, Newt and Jimmy Geouge.A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m., Saturday, January 10, 2015, at Hurt Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Myron Bruce, the Rev. Mark Hopkins and the Rev.
