Spencer Floyd Adams was born on June 2nd, 1819 to Jesse Adams and Rhoda Martin. He married Mary A. younger in 1856 in Searcy, Arkansas. They had at least four children, but likely more. When the war came, Spencer served in the 19th Arkansas Infantry, CSA (Dawson's), per his pension application. He survived the war and returned to his family, dying in Tomahawk, Arkansas in May of 1897.

Spencer Adams was the older brother of my great grandfather, William Martin Adams. Spencer's children were Nancy Ellen (Elender), John Frank, Prince Albert and Roxie Ann. Spencer's son, John Frank Adams married Martha Herrington, the sister of my grandfather, John Walker Herrington. I have visited this cemetery many times for many of my relatves are buried there. It is a shame that it is in such a neglected state. - Info from Beth Harrington.
