Complications of Diseases Proves Fatal
To Well Known Local Resident

Funeral Services Thursday

Mrs. Sarah Hannah Binford, widow of James L. Binford, died at her home, 218 East Mechanic street, at 10:15 o'clock this morning at the age of 78 years. Death was caused by a complication of diseases.

Mrs. Binford was born December 28, 1852 in Clifford county, North Carolina, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Macy. She was a member of the First M. E. church of this city; belonged to the Calendar and Missionary societies of that church; and was afflilated with the Rebekah lodge of Shelbyville and the Shelby county chapter of the W. C. T. U. For the past 28 years she lived in this city.

She leaves three daughters; Mrs. Emma Gately, Misses Edna and Grace Binford, all at home; one sister, Mrs Eden Johnson, of Morristown; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at the home Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Dr. L. T. Freeland officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Hill cemetery in charge of Charles M. Ewing.
