Aunt Frankie Stowe, as she is familiarly known, after lingering in poor health for several weeks, at last succumbed to disease and old age, and died about 4 o'clock a.m. Nov. 21, 1893, at the home of her son, Lee Stowe.

She was buried at the family cemetery on the 22nd, funeral conducted by George E. Brewer. She was born Feb. 24, 1814, Zadkin, N.C. At about 14 years of age she united with the M.E. church, South, living a pious, consecrated life, enjoying the confidence and love of all who knew her. Like a shock of corn fully ripe, she has garnered. Sweet will be her rest.
