Joyce was the daughter of Albert and Matilda Leonard. In 1960, Joyce along with her husband William moved from East Orange, NJ to Brick, NJ, where they raised their family. During her career, Joyce was a Registered Nurse with the Ocean County Public Health Department for over 40 years, retiring in 2013. Joyce was an active parishioner at the Church of Visitation, where she was a Eucharistic Minister.
Joyce is predeceased by her son Joseph A. Honeker.
Joyce is survived by her loving husband, William Honeker Sr; her son and his wife William Honeker Jr. (Diane) of Leonardo, NJ; Her daughter and her husband Jennifer Ruggiero (Frank) of Iselin, NJ; her grandson, (adopted son) and his wife, William Honeker III (Jennifer) of Brick, NJ; her daughter in law Karen Honeker of Toms River, NJ; her sister Joan Leonard-Maglione of Toms River, NJ; her nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The joy of her life was spending time with and caring for her family.
