MRS. JOAN L. (LONG) BADUM, 81, of Greencastle, PA, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015 in Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, PA.
Born January 11, 1933 in Astoria, NY, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Lillian (Myler) Long.
Mrs. Badum attended Pace College in New York City and retired from St. John's Queens Hospital in Elmhurst, NY.
She is survived by one daughter, Joan E. Leavy of Hancock, MD; three sons, Donald Chrisville of McConnellsburg, PA and Richard Chrisville and Kevin Chrisville, both of NY; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, John Long and his wife, Maria of Windermere, FL; a number of nieces and nephews; and her fiancé, Paul Smithers.
Mrs. Badum was preceded in death by her first husband, John R. Chrisville; her second husband, John J. Badum in 2004; a daughter, Maureen Chrisville in 1992; and a grandson, George Leavy in 2003.
Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 10, 2015 in Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, 521 South Washington Street, Greencastle with the Rev. Augusty Valomchalil, M.S.S.C.C. officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday evening, in the funeral home.
