Julius Allen Singleton, 62, professor of government, died at 4:13 p.m.
Monday at Pattie A. Clay Hospital
after his car hit a fence post, according to a Kentucky state police
report.
Singleton had been with Eastern Kentucky University since 1972
He had been chair of the government department from 1975 to 1980.

The Texas native received his
undergrad degree from Texas Tech
University along with his doctorate. He
received his masters from SuU Ross.
He was a past chairman of his department at EKU.

He also was a past president of the Madison County Historical Society.

Surviving are his wife, Judith B. Singleton; a son, Reid Allen Singleton of Berea; a daughter, Stephanie Crook of Lavaca, Texas; and a brother.

Visitation will be at Oldham.
