Phyllis A. Mahaffey, 81, of Winchester, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2015 in IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.

She was born on July 28, 1933 in Jay County to William and Mary Jessup. Phyllis was an antique dealer and owned her own store in Centerville called Antiquers. She was a member of the Wesleyan Holiness Church in Winchester and enjoyed antiques and yard sales.

Survivors include four children, Pamela Jarvis of Westerville, OH, John Shultz of Winchester, Beth (husband Bud) Denton of Winchester; and Connie Beaty of Richmond, nine grandchildren; two brothers, Marvin Jessup of Oklahoma and Ronnie Jessup of Redkey; and two sisters, Barb Wilson and Carolyn Gilliam, both of Portland.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Charles Shultz, Sr.; her second husband, John Mahaffey, Sr.; and three sons, Edward, Robin and Zachary Shultz.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at the Wesleyan Holiness Church, 1060 N. Old US Hwy 27 in Winchester with Pastor John Farr officiating. There will be no calling hours.

Burial will be in Saratoga Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
