Nan Brown Davies, 89, of Salina, passed away January 4, 2015 in Provo with her loving family at her side. She was born November 22, 1925 in Annabella to Arnol Richard and Myrtle Loretta Camp Brown. She married Wilford Davies, January 14, 1944 in Alexandria, Louisiana. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. He preceded her in death March 30, 2000.

Nan was faithful member of the LDS Church where she willingly served as a ward Primary teacher, a stake Primary secretary, at the bishop’s storehouse, in the ward choir and as a scout leader. She helped with flowers and luncheons for many funerals.

She was civic minded and willingly served as a volunteer at Salina’s Tourist Information Booth. Some employment highlights included being a bookkeeper for Wilford’s gas station, as a server/waitress at Geneva Nielson’s, Soper’s Café, Mark’s Drive In and in housekeeping at Fish Lake Lodge.

The year 2014 marked Nan’s 67th consecutive garden. She loved her gardens and spent many hours cultivating and growing her treasures. She received many ribbons for her flower arrangements and vegetables at both the Sevier County and Utah State Fairs. She enjoyed spending time at Fish Lake with family and friends. Some of her hobbies included camping, fishing, oil painting, appliqueing dish towels, quilting and traveling with Wilford to his military reunions.

Surviving her are her daughters: Janet Hunt (Doug) of Central Valley, Marie Carter (Greg Hubbs) of Spanish Fork; former son-in-law, Todd Carter of Spanish Fork; 9 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; siblings, Joy Ione Larsen of South Jordan, Nad (Markay) Brown of St. George.

She is also preceded in death by her parents; 2 infant daughters; son, Wilford Davies Jr.; siblings: Dawn Brown, Margaret (Jnard) Heath, Newell A. (Norma) Brown.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 9, 2015 in the Salina 4th LDS Ward Chapel, 100 West 400 North, Salina, where friends may call on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 or on Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery
