Paul Reed Baldwin, 72, of Blackfoot, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the Bingham Memorial Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center in Blackfoot from Inclusion Body Myositis.

He was born January 14, 1942 in Pocatello, Idaho to Franklin Reed and Lila Vinette Lemmon Baldwin. Paul was raised in Moreland and attended Moreland Elementary School and graduated from Snake River High School in 1961. Following graduation he attended Rick’s College.

Paul married Susan Hutchinson. To this union four children were born, Sheila, Lisa, Michael and Christopher. They later divorced.

Paul was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission to the Central States, served as Choir Director for several years and taught in the High Priest Group.

Paul served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Paul lived many years in Kansas City working for the Postal Service. He managed a convenience store in Tennessee. After returning to Blackfoot about 10 years ago, he drove school bus for the Snake River School District and also for Miles Bus Company in Blackfoot.

Paul loved music and chatting with friends on the Internet.

He is survived by his children: Sheila (Romanus) Onuoha of Fenton Missouri, Lisa (Paul) Metzger of Lepexa, Kansas, Michael (Frances) Baldwin of Prairie Village, Kansas, Christoper Baldwin of Kansas; brothers, Stephen Lee (Patricia) Baldwin of Rexburg, Frank Lynn (Connie) Baldwin of Riverton, Utah; sisters, Serena (Max) Watt of Rockford, Marilyn (Bob) Kesler of Blackfoot, Joan (Blaine) Dance of Sandy Valley, Nevada; brother-in-law Ludell Evans of Blackfoot; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Lila Baldwin and sister, Ruth Baldwin Evans.

Funeral service will be held at 1p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Hawker Funeral Home with Bishop Arlin Stimpson conducting. The family will meet with friends and relatives for one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Moreland Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to: www.hawkerfuneralhome.com.
