Ronnie Andrews, 66, lifetime Hereford resident went home to his Lord and family on Thursday, January 1, 2015 in Amarillo.

A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for 10:00 am, Monday, January 5, 2015 at Temple Baptist Church, 700 Avenue K, Hereford. Rev. Kyle Streun, Pastor of First Baptist Church, Hereford, will officiate. Burial will follow in Rest Lawn Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hereford Heritage Funeral Home, 411 E 6th Street.

The family will receive visitors at the funeral home, Sunday, January 4, 2015, from 6-7 pm.

Ronnie was born August 21, 1948 in Hereford, to William Henry (W. H.) and Eunice Mae (Adkisson) Andrews. Ronnie met a very special person in his life, one he called his best friend, fell in love with her and they joined together as one in marriage on January 14, 1988 in Hereford.

Ronnie was a veteran of the US Army and received an Honorable Discharge on September 6, 1974.

Ronnie loved his Lord and family dearly. His life was circled by them and the love he had for farming. He liked to snow ski in his younger years, watch Hee Haw, Walker – Texas Ranger, Matlock and the RFD channel. Spending time with his family and watching his children and grandchildren play sports, was what it was all about. He also had a favorite four legged friend that he like very much named “Puppy”.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife Denise of the home; 2 sons, Kyle Andrews and wife Charity of Amarillo, Jim E. Andrews and wife Dana of New Braunfels; 2 daughters, Amy Williams and husband Brian of Seneca, S.C., Crystal Kuster of Claremore, OK; 1 brother, Jack “Jackie” Andrews and wife Stacy of Herford; 1 sister, Delores Baldwin and husband Godfrey of Georgetown, TX; 11 grandchildren; and a host of many friends.

The family suggest memorials in lieu of flowers to the National Parkinson Foundation, Inc. 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, Florida 33131 or location of choice.
