Clara was the daughter of Joseph Rogers and Mary Eaton Rogers. She married Leonard Albert Johnson on Dec. 3, 1907 in Henry Co. They had two children Leslie R. b. abt. 1908 and Iona H. born abt. 1910.

Leonard was the son of Swedish born parents Olof Johnson b. June 1854 and Lizzie Ludgren b. May 1857. Leonard was born Oct. 27, 1883 in Henry Co. Ill. It is unknown when he passed away, but in 1942 when he filled out his draft card he was remarried to a Jennie Margaret Fairlie b. Oct. 9, 1883 in Jamestown, IA. and they were living in Sherrard, Mercer Co., Ill. They had married Sept. 12, 1923 in Rock Island, Ill. Jennie's mother Clara FAG #57067941 and brother Robert R. FAG #66993610 were living in the home as well. I found the entire Fairlie family buried together. There was one headstone marked Jennie died 1896, but Jennie lived to adulthood and married Leonard. The Fairlie's only had five children, so not sure who the headstone represents. In 1940 Leslie Johnson was single and living at home with his father and stepmother.
