Beatrice Monahan Underwood, 87, of Ivanhoe, VA passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015. She was born in Carroll Co., VA on August 9, 1927 the daughter of the late James J. Monahan and Ruth Copeland Monahan. She was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church in Ivanhoe and was preceded in death by her husband, Everett C. Underwood, daughter, Janice U. Freeman, brothers, Jimmy Monahan and Coy Monahan; sisters, Doris Stoneman, Mary Couch, Connie Wardlaw, Katherine Alley and is survived by:

Son: Larry “Bobby” Underwood & wife Brenda
Son-in-law: Charles Freeman
Funeral service will be held Monday, January 5, 2015 at the Reese Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Don Crockett and Reverend Mike Ingo officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. prior to the service. A graveside service will be held Tuesday at the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
