Maxine A. Miller, 86, of Kokomo, passed away at 7:25 AM, Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Century Villa Health Care in Greentown. She was born August 21, 1928, in Attica, to James Burton Beavers and Mary Gladys (Yahley) Beavers. She was married to the father of her sons Wallace M. Hines who preceded her in death in 1986, and was later married to William Francis Miller, who preceded her in death in 2008. She retired from Delco Electronics in 1984. Maxine enjoyed reading, gardening, playing cards, and traveling.
Survivors include a son, Michael W. Hines and wife Linda of Kokomo; son, Stephen R. Hines and wife Connie of Haines City, Florida; son, Daniel L. Hines of Wilmington, Delaware; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 S. Webster Street, with Pastor Greg Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Albright Cemetery. Visitation will be held from Noon – 2:00 PM Thursday, two hours prior to the service at the mortuary.
