Old – Time Citizen Passed Away Yesterday

Adna T. Morford died yesterday at 5 o'clock p. m. of cancer of the lip, with which he has been a sufferer. He was born in Pennsylvania in 1825 and was therefore 73 years of age. He was a member of the 122d Illinois volunteers and went through the war, making a credible record. It was during his war career that he contracted the distressing trouble, which gave him so much trouble and caused his death. Mr. Morford has resided in Cheyenne for 20 years, and reared a family in our midst. Seven sons and two daughters are left to mourn his loss. Deceased was a member of John F. Reynold's Post, Grand Army of the Republic, who will take charge of the funeral.

The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock. The pall bearers appointed are Comrades Brookhart, Artist, Rackafield, Smith, Rhodes, Bristol, Lane and T. Carroll.
