Age 73, daughter of the late Cecil W. and Edna Long Alward. Shirley was a graduate of the Edinboro High School. She was a cake decorator in the Edinboro area for more than 20 years, and also sold Tupperware for more than 15 years. Shirley was a member of the Edinboro Vol. Fire Departments Lady's Auxiliary providing a wonderful service to the community. She was a member of the Edinboro United Methodist Church and the local Rebekah's Lodge. She also loved to go shopping with her friends and attend craft shows.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Russell, Marvin, and Tommy Alward; and a sister, Irene Biby.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Wayne A. Lewis, three sons, Wayne Lewis, Jr., of Orlando, Fla., Gary Lewis and his wife, Cheryl, and Mike Lewis all of Edinboro; a daughter, Tammy Lewis of Louisville, Ky., three brothers, Jim Alward and his wife, Zola, and John Alward and his wife, Wanda, all of Edinboro, and Charles Alward and his wife, Pat, of Cambridge Springs; four sisters, Margie Tau and her husband, Frank, of Gilbert, Ariz., Beatrice Cole and her husband, Ray, of Mill Village, Lois Richardson, and her husband, Darrell, of Hawaii, and Carol Perlman, and her husband, Marc, of Phoenix, Ariz., four grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
