Mr. John Fountain Arney, age 88 of Franklin, Ky., entered into rest Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 10:42 A.M. at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky.

A native of Lillydale, TN. he was the son of the late Clark Arney and Serephene Hunter Arney. He was the husband of the late Marie Arney. He was preceded in death by a son Joe Mark Arney and a sister Blanche Hyatt.

He is survived by a daughter Jana Hammock(Eddie) of Franklin, KY., and a son John M. Arney(Jamie) of Franklin, KY., 1 brother Alton Arney of Russellville, Ky., 3 sisters Eloise Huffman of Russellville, KY., Avodelle Bryant and Sandra Huffines both of Franklin, KY., 6 grandchildren Dustin Hammock, Morgan Arney, Jadie Hammock Martin, Mary Patton Arney, Payne Arney and Madeline Arney.

Mr. Arney was a member of the Franklin Church of Christ, V.F.W. Post#5706 and American Legion Post #62, he formerly served on Franklin Farm Bureau board. He was WWII Navy Veteran.
