Paul Eugene Ritter, 89, of Bethany Village, Lower Allen Twp., died yesterday in Holy Spirit Hospital.

He was retired from American Telephone and Telegraph as a research engineer and consultant for the Strategic Air Command; was a 1921 graduate and valedictorian of Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove; and was a research engineer in the development of a microwave system for communications.

He was an Army veteran of World War I; and was a member of Trindle Spring Lutheran Church, Silver Spring Twp., Telephone Pioneers of America, Eureka F&AM Lodge 302, Zembo Temple, New Jersey Society for the Sons of the American Revolution, National Rifle Association and the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Lodge Council, Chapter, Consistory, and Valley of Harrisburg.

Surviving are a niece and nephew.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Trindle Spring Cemetery, Silver Spring Twp.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Cumberland County Unit, 117 N. Hanover St., Carlisle 17013.
