Eliza Woodard was born in 1819 in Tennessee. She married John W Fox on May 11, 1836 in Maury County Tennessee. She had five children with John. They were Mary Elizabeth, Sarah, Martha P, Amanda, and Joseph Washington Fox. Around 1858 John Fox was allegedly killed by bushwhackers just prior to the outbreak of the Civil War.**
On February 7, 1859, Eliza married Isaac Hendricks in Polk County, Missouri. To that union were born two children: Cordelia and Isaac "Curtis" Hendricks. (In the will of Isaac Hendricks Sr., Eliza is also referred to as Elizabeth Jane Hendricks).
In 1865 Eliza Jane married James Potts in Polk County, Missouri. Marriage writing says "Jane Hendricks".
According to the 1870 census, she was using the last name of Potts.

Eliza death information shows death place as a Dunnegan, Polk, Missouri, but date of death is unknown. Source: wc.rootsweb.com
In MyHeritage.com in the family tree of Byron Mathena, he posted Eliza was born 1816 and died November 25, 1902 in Missouri.
Eliza is more than likely buried in the Plum Grove Cemetery next to her 2nd husband, Isaac Hendricks.
