Myrtie Lee Kinsaul Davis, November 8, 1931 – December 30, 2014, affectionately known to her family and friends as “Tuttie” or “Grammy”, died peacefully surrounded by her family after eight years as a cancer survivor.

Surviving are her sister, Mary Kinsaul McGathy; her husband of 62 years, Dr. Phil Davis; her daughters, Debra Davis Wilson (Mickey) and Donna Davis Schroeder (Bob); her grandchildren, Philip Wilson (Elizabeth), Alan Wilson and Jennifer Schroeder; great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Levi Wilson. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Davis Jirsa.

Visitation will begin at 10am on Saturday January 3, 2014, at Greenview Funeral Home followed by a memorial service at 11am conducted by Rev. Charles P. McGathy, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Madison, NC. Charles is her nephew and she was a member of his church’s internet family.

A special thanks to Dr. Ronald Alvarez and his staff at the Oncology Department of UAB, Birmingham and Dr. Patricia Auxier and her staff in Florence.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
