SERVICES HELD MONDAY FOR TINA E. NELSON

Impressive Funeral Services were held Monday afternoon in Mount Pleasant First-Fourth Ward Church for Mrs. Clementina (Tina) Ericksen NELSON, 74, who died June 17, 1966, in a local hospital after an extended illness.

Mrs. NELSON, a prominent church and civic worker, was born March 09, 1892, in Mount Pleasant, a daughter of Ferdinand and Clementina Morrison ERICKSEN. She married Obed NELSON September 05, 1913, in the Manti Temple.

She attended Mount Pleasant elementary schools and graduated from Wasatch Academy and University of Utah. She taught school in Randolph, Rich County, from 1911 to 1912 and in Mount Pleasant from 1913 to 1918.

An active member of the LDS Church she was stake YWMIA president ten years; stake counselor, North Ward YWMIA president, secretary and teacher; she was the first ward chairman of the LDS Girls Program committee; stake and ward Religion Class teacher; counselor in the North Ward Relief Society; member of stake and ward choir; was a Manti Temple ordinance worker for three and a half years and served in the Western States Mission for two years.

She sang and talked at many funerals in her lifetime. She served as president of the Twentieth Century Club and was district president of the Sanpete-Sevier Women's Clubs. She was a member of the local chapter of DUP and a member of the board of the Mount Pleasant Pioneer Historical Association at the time of her death, serving in this capacity for many years.

Surviving are her husband, Mount Pleasant; a son, Leslie Ferdinand, North Hollywood, California; three daughters, Mrs. LaMar C. (Mary) JENSEN, Walla Walla, Washington; Mrs. Kent M. (Lucile) JENSEN, Salt Lake City, and Beverly NELSON, Phoenix, Arizona; eleven grandchildren; a foster sister, Mrs. Hyrum (Elma) SCHNEIDER, Lafayette, California; and half-brothers and sisters, Mrs. Earl W. (Mildred) LAMBERS, Sun City, Arizona; Harian ERICKSON C. Aileen ERICKSON, both of Salt Lake City, and ElRoy ERICKSEN, Chicago.

Mack L. Wilkey, bishop of the Fourth Ward, was in charge of the Services; prayer at the mortuary was offered by H. G. ERICKSON; prelude and postlude music, Ethel Ericksen; invocation, Rodley Bagnall of California; speaker, Soren M. Nielsen, Arnold Y. Stevens, and Bishop Wilkey; ladies' trio, Barbara Tutle, LaRue Beck, MorRae Wilkey, accompanied by Ethel Ericksen; male duet, Charles Schmidt and Dr. DeWayne Schmidt, accompanied by Ella Schmidt; tribute, written by Florence Noland Bagnall and given by Louise Seely; benediction, Reid H. Allred of Spring City.

Burial was in Mount Pleasant City Cemetery directed by the Jacobs Mortuary. Ferdinand NELSON dedicated the grave.

Pallbearers were A. J. PRATT, Ray COATES, O. V. ANDERSON, Dr. Glen JORGENSON, Keith JORGENSON, Cherron SEELY.
