"Alexander Rites Set for Monday

Services for William Elton Alexander, who died Saturday morning at his home one mile south of Provence, Carter County, will be at 2 p.m., Monday in Bettes Funeral Home Chapel, Ardmore. The Rev. Alvin martin, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church, Ardmore, will officiate.

Alexander was born Nov. 5, 1891, in Grayson County, Texas. He had lived in Provence for about 60 years after moving there from Texas.

Survivors include one son, Aubry Alexander, Ardmore; three daughters, Mrs. Bernice Weatherly and Mrs. Margie Harkins, both of Ardmore, and Mrs. Regina Bettes, Healdton; 14 granchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Tom Ellis and Mrs. Onie Stewart, both of Ardmore.

Pallbearers will be nephews of the deceased. Interment will be in Pruitt Cemetery, north of Provence."
