Richard G. Ceperley was the son of William Avery Ceperley and Elizabeth Helen Guy. He served in the Marines during World War II. He married Helen Simpson.

OBITUARY: QUAD-CITY TIMES - FRIDAY, MAY 10, 1996 - BETTENDORF Richard Ceperley - Services for Richard Ceperley, 72, of Bettendorf, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today. Mr. Ceperley died Wednesday at Genesis Medical Center-East Campus, Davenport. He retired in 1981 as assistant supervisor at Priester Construction Company. He was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Dixon American Legion, and was a life member of the Scott County Humane Society. He served in the Marines during World War II. His hobbies included model railroading. Memorials may be made to the church or the Scott County Humane Society. Survivors include his wife, a sister, Betty Rogers, Cherokee Village, Ark.; and brothers, William, Aurora, Colo., and the Rev. Robert, Maryville, Mo.
