Roberta "Bobbie Jean" Dabney passed away December 31, 2014 in Houston, Texas after she courageously struggled with a rare Cancer of the Lymphoma family called Waldenstroms. Roberta was born in Houston, Texas May 23, 1940.
She graduated from High School in 1958 from Stephen F. Austin High School in Houston. Upon graduating high school Roberta attended the nursing school at the Methodist Hospital in Houston and was a graduate of the last class in 1961.
Roberta is predeceased by her father Thomas W. Merrill Sr., mother Mary Francis (Tanny) Merrill, and daughter Leah Kay.
She is survived by her loving husband Robert C. (Bobby), son and daughter in law Michael and Becky Dabney, grandsons Keegan and Garrett, brother Tom Merrill and sister in law Glenda Merrill, and sister Julie Long and brother in law Jim Long.
A graveside service will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
