Wyler Bilderback, who lived a mile and a half west of Millersburg on the Danville road, was instantly killed at 9 o’clock last night when he was struck by a hit-skip driver on Route 39, a quarter mile west of the Holmes county seat. He was 54.

His body was discovered in the ditch by Dale Elliott, Millersburg, who made a search after finding a hat in the center of the highway. Elliott immediately notified Holmes County Sheriff Harry Weiss, who began an investigation at once.

At 10:30 p.m. Walter Tressel, Millersburg, was arrested by Special Deputy Gordon Barton, after Tressel’s Chevrolet coupe was found to have a smashed right front fender. He is alleged to be the driver of the death car, and is being held pending further investigation.

Coroner W. B. Wilde, Holmesville, returned a verdict of accidental death due to a broken neck.
