George Grodon Lund was working for Mountain States Telephone Company in 1937. They were digging a trench to put a phone cable in. They were digging along side the Loma theater in Coalville Utah, when the rock wall of the theater collapsed,it fell on George and samashed his leg. His dad James L. Lund had doctors try to save the leg below the knee. Gangurine set in,and they had to cut it off just above the knee. Two days later he got Gangurine again, this time they went up another four inches. There was just a stub of his leg left. However this time it started to heal. He had a hard time with the leg all of his life. He was 22 years old when the accident happened. Melvin Lund (brother)
