Virginia was born Oct. 23, 1937, in Youngstown, a daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Roberts Mauerman.
Virginia was a 1955 graduate of East High School.
Virginia’s devotion to her family was her life. She also enjoyed playing bingo and cards.
She was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society.
Her husband, James E. Murphy, whom she married April 20, 1956, passed away May 21, 2009.
She will be sadly missed by her family, her children, Diane (Mark) McAllen of Hubbard, Kathy (Jack) Sullivan of Hubbard, Patty Murphy of Hubbard, Debbie (Ray) Frazzini of Hubbard, James (Diane) Murphy of Hermitage, Pa., Michael (Kristen) Murphy of Brookfield and Matthew (Nicole) Murphy of Hubbard; 22 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters; and six brothers.
Virginia will be laid to rest at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
