Elizabeth Arkansas, 86, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, April 22, 2006. She was born Oct. 28, 1919 in Ardmore, OK to Davis and Marcelene (Jackson) Elix. Elizabeth spent her life as a homemaker and was a member of Glorieta Baptist Church in OKC. She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband, Able Arkansas, 3 brothers, Henry Farve, Noah Elix & Edmond Elix and a special niece Nina Canoe. Elizabeth is survived by 2 brothers, Clayburn Elix and Alfred L. Elix; 2 sisters, Eveline Sadongei and Melvina Baker and husband Ted, Sr.; a special nephew, Ted Baker Jr. and wife Marie; 4 nieces, Sherri Baer, Kandice Canoe, Waylayah Canoe, Perrin Deal; 1 great nephew, Andrew Baer; and 2 step-daughters, Phanetta Wilman and Lucille Ray, and many other relatives & friends. A wake service will be held at 7:00 PM Tues. at Glorieta Baptist Church (7308 S. Western). Funeral service will be Wed. 10:00 AM at Glorieta Baptist Church with burial to follow at 3:00 PM at Ravia Cemetery in Ravia, OK. ... Published in The Oklahoman on 4/25/2006.
