Salomon Loewenstein died in the holocaust. He was born in Langendernbach-Westerwald Germany. He died in Auschwitz. Salomon was married to Rosalie (nee Adler) and was father of 6. His eldest daughter Blanca passed away at the age of 16 of Lukemia. His wife Rosalie along with two of his children (Harry and Viola) also died in Auschwitz. His other three children (Bernhard, Siegfred, and Betty) survived the holocaust and lived long lives. Betty was my grandmother and passed away quietly at the age of 93 in Southern California. Through her, I grew up hearing stories of Salomon and his kind generous heart. He was a man of great wisdom with a profound love of his family. They have all gone to join him now, and I know they all rest in peace.
