OBITUARY

John F. Cockrell died at his home here Tuesday morning of a heart complication following a number of months of ill health. Funeral services are being held this afternoon at the Free church, of which he had been a prominent member. The pastor, Rev. Levi B. Olson, is conducting the services.

Mr. Cockrell had been a resident of Orland for the past seven years and had made his home in California for 23 years. He was born in Riley, Kansas, on December 29, 1894, and lived there until he came west .

He is survived by his wife, Marguerite, and by the following brothers and sisters: Ray Cockrell, Pomona, until recently of Orland; William Cockrell, Rosemead; Earl Cockrell, Alhambra; Bly, El Monte; Mrs. Julia King, Los Angeles; Mrs. Hattie Moose, San Gabriel, and Mrs. Edna Baker, Orland. His father, U. G. Cockrell, also survives, making his home at San Gabriel.

Interment will be in the Masonic cemetery.
