STATESBORO - Margaret Thompson Brannen, 88, died Thursday, December 25, 2014 in Brown's Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Brannen was born in Bulloch County and lived many years in Savannah before moving to Pooler in 1979.

Margaret was a graduate of Bolen-Draughn's Business College and was and Accountant with Jones and Hill Insurance Company for 35 years. She was a member of Rothwell Baptist Church in Pooler, where she was a member of the Dell Waters Sunday school class and volunteered with Meals on Wheels.

She was preceded in death by her parents Patrick B. and Katie Thompson of Brooklet and her husband, Dub Brannen. Mrs. Brannen is survived by her daughter, Ronda B. Green and her husband, Thomas of Rincon; son, William Donald Brannen and his wife, Debbie of Brooklet; daughter-in-law, Betty Brannen of Brooklet; 4 grandchildren; 7 great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 1:00 - 3:00 PM Saturday, December 27, in Hodges-Moore Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, December 27, in the Chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with the Reverend Devin Bell officiating. Burial will be in Brooklet City Cemetery. STATESBORO - Margaret Thompson Brannen, 88, died Thursday, December 25, 2014 in Brown's Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Brannen was born in Bulloch County and lived many years in Savannah before moving to Pooler in 1979.
