On Jan. 23, 1944, Betty was united in marriage with Morris Dean Grimm at her parents' home in Vinton. He preceded her in death on Jan. 25, 2001.
Betty was a homemaker and spent her time caring for her children.
She was a member of Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Navy Mothers, Eagles' Auxiliary and the Mount Auburn Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed camping and dancing with her husband; watching the St. Louis Cardinals play baseball; and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 57 years, Dean; son-in-law, Tony Behounek; three brothers, Glen Struve, Weldon Struve and Roger Dale Struve in infancy; and one sister, Bernice Rhoads.
