William B. Fraker of Lodi, died Tuesday in a local hospital after a long illness. He was 60.
Born and raised in Minnesota, he joined the U.S. Army in 1942 and served in the Pacific during World War II.
He married Juanita V. Shanks in 1950 and had lived in Lodi since that time. He worked for Spiekerman Concrete and later Claude C. Wood Co., before joining with the Pinkerton Foundry in 1953.
In 1975, he retired from the foundry as a foreman.
He was a former member of the American Legion Lodi Post No. 22 and was a member of the International Molders and Allied Workers Union No. 164 of Oakland.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita V. Fraker o f Lodi; a son, J. Ralph Shanks of Georgia; a daughter, Peggy L. Thomas of Oklahoma; two brothers, Loyal Fraker of Nevada and Leland Fraker of Minnesota; a sister, Sybil Diedrickson of South Gate and 19 grandchildren.
