He was retired from TRW Inc.; attended Shermans Dale United Methodist Church; and was a member of Shermans Dale Fire Company. He was the widower of Miriam Fenicle Hummel. Surviving are son Leo of Shermans Dale; six daughters, Wilma Owen of New Bloomfield, Gloria McAlister of Marysville, Janet Schmohl, Nancy Jumper and Geraldine McKinney, all of Carlisle, and Donna Geesaman of Harrisburg; brother Dale of Marysville; two sisters, Olive Luckenbaugh of Marysville and Ethel Miller of Carlisle; 23 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
