NORTONVILLE –– Hilda Brown, 56, of Nortonville, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001, at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.
She was born on Sept. 30, 1944, to the late Johnnie Joseph and Lena Neveline Berry. She was a homemaker and member of the Good Hope Church.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn Brown of Mannington, Ky.; two sons, Rodney Brown of Nortonville, and James "Porkey" Young of Nortonville; two daughters, Linda Rodgers and Glenda Long both of Nortonville; three step-sons, Douglas Brown of Sparta, Ill., Terry Brown and Donald Elmo Brown, both of Nortonville; two brothers, Howard Berry of Gary, Ind., and Joe Berry, of Lake Station, Ind.; one sister, Lena McNeily of Crofton, Ky.; four grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren; and 16 step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville with the Rev. Larry Phaup officiating. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery in Nortonville.
The pallbearers will be Brian Denny, Danny Blades, Adam Darnell, Greg Brown, Jimmy Smith and Troy Martin.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
