A Requiem High Mass will be offered for the repose of Charles's soul on Friday January 9, 2015 at St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church in Mableton, where he was a longtime member.
Preceded in death by infant brother William, and by parents, Charles Edward, Sr. and Jeroma (D'Amico) Foy.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte (Godri) Foy and by their children Elizabeth Clark of Kentucky, Rebecca Foy, Naomi Foy, Mary Berry and husband Owen, and Samuel Foy and wife Wendy of Georgia, and by grandchildren Charles, Luke, and Michael Clark, of Kentucky, and Catherine, Gregory, Anna Marie, Alexandra, and Victoria Berry, of Georgia.
He is also survived by his sisters, Barbara Caroff (Romuald, dec.), Mary Godri (Edward) of Pennsylvania and by Teresa Bartos (Michael) of Alaska.
Charles was born March 29, 1939 in Meyersdale, Pennsylvania. He was a 1957 graduate of Meyersdale High School, where he was a member of the Jolly Mountain Boys. He attended Frostburg State University.
During his military service he was a member of the 101st Airborne (Screaming Eagles). After military service he joined the District of Columbia Metropolitan Police department. The next step in his law enforcement career began with employment at FCI Morgantown West Virginia. After Morgantown he went on to the United States Penitentiary, Atlanta where he retired from his law enforcement career in the mid-1990s.

Charles Edward Foy Jr. age 75 of Conyers, Georgia passed away on Saturday December 27, 2014. Mr. Foy was born in Meyersdale, PA on March 29, 1939 to Charles and Jeroma (D'Amico) Foy. A funeral mass will be held on December 31, 2014 at 11 O'clock in the morning at St. Pius X Catholic Church, in Conyers, Georgia. A private burial will be held later in the afternoon at The Honey Creek Woodlands. Mr. Foy leaves behind to cherish his memory, a wife, children and a host of other family and friends.
