Edna W. Adams, age 97, of Perry, passed away December 24 at Lake Health in Madison.
She was born September 26, 1917 in Thompson and was the daughter of the late Marie (Lonser) and Paul Wilber.
She married H. Russell Adams in May of 1940 in Painesville. Edna was a graduate of Thompson High School and also attended Hiram College.
She helped her husband manage the family farm in Perry and served on the Women’s Committee for the Lake County Farm Bureau. Edna was also an active member of Perry Library Board.
She is survived by her son, David Adams of Perry; grandchildren, Rachel (Dave) Advey of Perry and Tom (Adrian) Adams of Arizona; great grandchildren, Parker and Austin.
She is preceded in death by her husband, H. Russell Adams; sister, Gertrude Quale; and brothers, Howard and Paul Wilber.
Graveside services were held at Perry Cemetery. Behm Family Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Funeral services for H. Russell Adams, 94, of Perry, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at The Behm Family Funeral Homes, 26 River St., Madison.


Mr. Adams passed away Feb. 28, 2007, at LakeWest Hospital in Willoughby.


He was born Aug. 11, 1912, in Perry, to Eva May (Manchester) and John Quincy Adams.


He was a 1930 graduate of Perry High School. He served as Perry Township Trustee for 40 years and on the Zoning Board of Appeals for the past 20 years. He was past president of the Lake County Farm Bureau, past president of Perry Kiwanis (charter member), and past president of the Lake County Trustees Association. Mr. Adams was recognized as Lake County Senior Citizen Hall of Fame in 1995, and honored as Perry High School Distinguished Alumni in 2001. He was also a member of the Perry United Methodist Church.


Survivors are his wife of 66 years, Edna (Wilbur) Adams, whom he married May 11, 1940, in Mentor; son, David Adams of Perry; and grandchildren, Rachel and Thomas Adams.


His parents,; and brothers, Milford and Donald Adams, are deceased.


The Rev. Keith Mostad of Perry United Methodist Church will officiate the service. Burial will be in Perry Cemetery.


In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Perry Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame, c/o Perry High School, 1 Success Blvd., Perry, OH 44081.
