He grew up and received his education in Ramona until entering the Marine Corps where he served during WW.II. Following his honorable discharge he returned to the Ramona, and was married to Bertha Lee Davis on March 20, 1948 at Bartlesville. He was employed by the Phillips Petroleum Company as the Senior Power Plant Operator for many years until he retired in 1985. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ramona for over 50 years, being saved in April of 1964 at his home in Ramona. He had served as a Sunday School teacher, and as a Falls Creek Sponsor and teacher for a number of years.
Mr. Allen is survived by his two sons, Jack Allen and wife Mary of Miami, Oklahoma, Kirby Allen and wife Janet of Wann, Oklahoma, by his two daughters, Judy Flinn and husband Robert of Chelsea, Oklahoma and Sally Back of Bartlesville; by 10 Grandchildren, and 13 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, by his wife Bertha Lee Allen on February 3, 2014, and by two brothers and a sister.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday at the First Baptist Church in Ramona with Rev. Kevin Baker, pastor of the Church officiating. Interment will be in the Ramona Cemetery.
