Ada (Best) Blank, 83, of Ephrata, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2014, at Hospice & Community Care of Mt. Joy. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter R. Blank in 1985.

Born in Quarryville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Clare (Alexander) Best. She lived most of her life in the Westchester, PA, area, but lived the past two years at The Groves of Ephrata. She enjoyed taking trips to Ocean City, NJ.

Ada started work as a receptionist for the Treasury of Chester County but retired from the Adult Probation Department of the Chester County Courthouse.

Ada is survived by her son Robert, husband of Barbara, of Fivepointville; her grandchildren, Eric and Shawna Pride; her sister, Nancy Book; her friends Lenore Gutherie, Betty Gilcrist, and Joan McGeehan; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and three brothers, Harry, James, and John.

Ada’s family would like to extend their gratitude to the dedicated staff of The Groves and Hospice & Community Care of Mt. Joy.
