Memorial Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of George L. Doeden Jr., 74, of Sartell will be at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, December 19, 2014 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell. George died on Friday, December 12, 2014. Inurnment with military honors will follow in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Friday at the church. Arrangements are with Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.
George was born on April 23, 1940 in St. Cloud to the late George and Beulah (Vohs) Doeden Sr. After high school George served in the US Army. He married Eva M. Bondgien on June 11, 1963 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids and has been a resident of Sartell most of his life. George was employed at Nash Finch until retirement. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Parish.
He is survived by his children, Bonnie Bernick, Christopher (Doreen) and Jamison (Jodi); nine grandchildren; and brothers, Henry (Bev) and Gary (Pat).
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva in 1976.
Memorials are preferred.
