Her mother, father, three sisters and five brothers passed to the Great Beyond several years ago.
She was united in marriage to Eli Knowles, December 23, 1870, at her home. She and her husband located at Eastonville, Colo., in 1881, where they lived until the death of Mr. Knowles, November 24, 1916.
She was again united in marriage to Louis Rigg, November 6, 1924, at Mt. Carmel, Ill. They made their home in Arkansas until 1927, when they came back to Illinois.
Mrs. Rigg joined the Methodist Church at Cabbage Corner, when a girl, and later transferred her membership to the Presbyterian church at Elbert, Colo. She has been failing in health for four years, she lived a quiet, unassuming life, always ready, as long as her health permitted, to do a true neighbor's part for anyone in time of trouble or sorrow.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her loving husband, who has so faithfully cared for her during her long illness; four step-children; four step-granddaughters; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held from the Methodist church Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
It is with sad regret we note the passing of Aunt Alice Ring of Bone Gap, Ill.
She leaves many friends near Eastonville and around Elbert, Colorado, who will read this notice of her death with deep sorrow.
