MRS. BOYINGTON DEAD
A Lady who has Lived in and about Randolph Many Years
At the home of her son, G. C. Boynton, Youngstown, O., Mrs. Emaline L. Boynton died of heart failure on Tuesday evening of this week, Nov. 18. The remains, accompanied by her son, were brought here Wednesday, and the funeral services took place Thursday at 1 p.m., from the home of her brother, Joel Torrance, Rev. Newman Matthews officiating. Burial was made in the Randolph cemetery.
Mrs. Boynton was the second daughter of G. M. Torrance, and had just passed her sixtieth anniversary, having been born in Randolph, Nov. 15, 1842. She spent the greater part of her life in this place. On the 28th day of January, 1864, she was married to Benjamin Boynton, the day before he re-enlisted for his second term of service in the civil war. Mr. Boynton died in 1873. After her husband's death she lived in Missouri for several years, and then returned to Randolph, where she lived until five years ago. Mrs. Boynton spent the past summer at her brother's home here, and appeared to be in fairly good health, though for several years she has not been very well. She is survived by an only son, G. T. Boynton.
When she was sixteen years of age she, with her sister, united with the Congregational church, of which her father had been a deacon for many years at the time of his death. In 1873 she was dismissed to church fellowship in Missouri. Upon her return she was in the fellowship of the church here from 1882 till 1890. Mrs. Boynton was a quiet and sincere Christian woman throughout her life.

Note: the name is Boyington, not Boynton. Her son, Garwood, however, did spell his name "Boynton."
