Labbe', Elmer (Al) VISTA -- In Loving Memories of Elmer (Al) Labbe'. Born in Berlin, NH. on March 17, 1929, he died in Vista, CA, on Nov. 25, 2014 of complications from prostate cancer. Joining the Marine Corps brought him to California. After the Marine Corps, he bought a milk route with the Golden Arrow Dairy, then went into partnership with his brother, Bill and purchased Melrose Market. After a few years, he purchased a gas/service station on the corner of 8th and Hill St. in Oceanside. That's where he met his wife, Roxan. He is survived by wife, Roxan Labbe'; his first wife, Rita Labbe' (Elton Frazier); daughters, Barbara (Jim) Sherlock, Diane (Willie) Katin; sons, Robert Labbe' and Patrick (Cristi) Labbe'; brother, Norman (Irene) Labbe'; sister, Dorothy (Satch) Bilodeau; sister-in-law, Cecil (Ben) Strawhun; grandchildren, Valerie, Scott, Ivory, Karis, Skyla, Becky, Greg, Christien, Avah, Quintin, Addie and Collin; many nephews, nieces, and cousins. Predeceased are parents, Willie and Edith Labbe' of Berlin, NH; brothers, William Labbe', Thomas, Ronald and Mike Madore; sister, Aurore Madore; and second wife, Tamie Katin. A very special thank you to his sister-in-law and nieces who were his caregivers, Veronica Vallez, Nena Garcia and Kateri Rodriguez. A Celebration of his Life will be held at 12 noon, on December 28, 2014 at Brengle Terrace Senior Center, 1400 Vail Terrace Dr., Vista, CA 92084. Interment will be held December 30, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the Miramar National Cemetery, 5795 Noble Dr., San Diego, CA.
