She died in the Colwell Manor House in Weymouth, New Jersey. Her father, Samuel Richards, was the long time owner of the Weymouth Iron Works (Weymouth Works), which she and here sister inherited in their own right. During her lifetime, the Works converted to two papermills, The Atlantic Paper Mill and the Weymouth Paper Mill.
