Joyce Adams Grubbs, age 70, formerly of Murfreesboro died Tuesday, December 23, 2014 in Winston Salem, NC. Mrs. Grubbs was a native of Rutherford County and was the daughter of the late Jesse T. and Julia Vaughn Adams, Sr. She was also preceded in death by her husband Earl F. Grubbs who died in 2008 and a brother Billy Houston Adams.

Funeral services will be 12:00 noon Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Reverend Charles Ray will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be two hours prior to the funeral services at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Mrs. Grubbs is survived by a brother, Jesse Adams, Jr. and his wife Dollie and a sister, Mary Frances Earp all of Winston Salem, NC; two step children, Earl “Buddy” Grubbs, Jr. of Lebanon and Sandra Grubbs of Columbia; five step grandchildren and two nieces, Linda Baity and her husband Jeff of Winston Salem, NC and Brenda Weeks and her husband Robert of Pensacola, FL.

Mrs. Grubbs was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church and was a former employee of the Singer Co. and MTSU. She was a 1962 graduate of Kittrell High School.
